Bio

Bree Jordan, soprano and co-founder of local arts organization Stafford Opera Troupe, is currently pursuing her M.M. in Vocal Performance at Appalachian State University, where she studies with international tenor John Fowler. A member of ASU&rsquos touring graduate vocal ensemble, Quintessential!, Bree recently performed the role of Mařenka in Smetana's The Bartered Bride with Appalachian Opera Theatre. She received her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Liberty University in 2015, where she was selected as Opera Musician of the Year for 2014-2015 and Junior Vocalist of the Year for 2013-2014. Her roles performed at Liberty include Nedda in I Pagliacci, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Despina in Così fan tutte, and Valencienne in The Merry Widow. Bree was an Apprentice Artist with Opera Roanoke in 2015 and has performed in the chorus of multiple Opera on the James productions. In 2016, she looks forward to covering the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor with Asheville Lyric Opera.
