Bio

Avigail Gurtler Har-Tuv, coloratura soprano, was born in Israel. She graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where she was the winner of the Academy&rsquos vocal competition for 2010, accompanied by the Israel Sinfonietta Beersheva. During her studies she performed the role of Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart). Avigail is a graduate of The Israel Opera Studio, where she performed Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart) with the Israel Sinfonietta Be'ersheva as well as Adele in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss) with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA. She performed Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel (Humperdinck) with the Israel Sinfonietta Beersheva and Adina in L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti) with the Israel Chamber Orchestra. Her studio repertoire also included the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), Sophie in Werther (Massenet), Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Clorinda in La Cenerentola (Rossini) and other roles. She performed the role of Jano in Jenufa (Janacek) with the Israel Opera as well as the role of Gianetta in IVAI's L'elisir d'amore. Gurtler Har-Tuv has performed in symphonic opera galas in Zurich and South Korea as well as with all of Israel's finest orchestras. She has sung with renowned conductors such as Maestri Roberto Paternostro, David Stern, Andrew Parrott, Nir Kabaretti and Frieder Bernius, and has taken master classes with world famous artists such as Francisco Araisa, Andreas Scholl, Joan Dornemann, Gerd Eucker and many others. This year Gurtler Har-Tuv will continue performing Queen of the night with the Israel Opera in numerous performances.
