Bio

Born in Valencia (Spain) in September 1990, Aurora won the Third Prize and the Public Prize of Concours International de Chant Baroque de Froville (France, 2015); and Talento Joven Prize (Spain, 2016). She completed her Master’s degree of Early Music with honours at ESMuC (Barcelona, 2016). She obtained her Bachelor of Music (vocal studies) at Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia where she received the Extraordinary End of Studies Prize (2015). Furthermore, she earned a Bachelor’s degree of English Philology (Universitat de Valencia, 2013). 


Aurora sang as a soloist in several opera theatres and concert halls as Teatro Real (Dido & Aeneas, Madrid, Spain 2015, 2017), Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona, Spain 2017), Palau de les Arts (Carmina Burana, Valencia, Spain, 2015), Auditorium Breit Hatfutsot (Ester, Tel Aviv, Israel 2017), Centro Belém (Lisbon, Portugal 2017), AMUZ (Antwerpen, Belgium 2017), Ópera de cámara del Teatro de la Zarzuela (Los Elementos, Madrid, Spain 2018), Theatre Alhambra (Geneva, Switzerland 2017), Teatro Jovellanos (Gijón, Spain, 2016), Collegio Ghislieri (Pavia, Italy 2017), Teatre de Sarrià (Barcelona, Spain 2017). Conducted by Paul Agnew, she sang Desmarest’s Didon and Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas (Académie Baroque Ambronay 2017). She also performed in several opera productions as La Sonnambula (Lisa) (Teatro Jovellanos, July 2016). Bizet’s Carmen (Frasquita) Barcelona, Palau de la Música Catalana, 2017. Lully’s Alceste (Céphise) conducted by Martin Gester (Strasbourg, France 2016). Handel’s Orlando (Angelica) conducted by Mónica Pustilnik (Barcelona 2016); Rossini’s L’occasione fa il ladro (Berenice), under the artistical direction of Raúl Giménez (Barcelona 2015); Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (Erst Knabe, Valencia 2012), Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel (Taummänchen, Palau de la Música Valencia, 2013), Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea (Virtù) and Il ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria (Amore) (Daroca 2014), Lleó’s La Corte del Faraón (Raquel, Teatro Principal Valencia, 2013).


Aurora’s most important concert engagements as a soloist included In furore iustissimae irae de Vivaldi (Palau de la Música de València, 2017); Scarlatti’s La Colpa, il Pentimento, la Grazia, conducted by Aarón Zapico (Seville, 2016); Orff’s Carmina Burana (Palau de les Arts, Valencia 2015); Händel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Exsultate Jubilate; Bach’s Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen. She also premiered Kevin Houben’s The Lost Labyrinth, for soprano and wind orchestra.


She performed in numerous music festivals in France, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Slovenia and Israel, such as Féstival de Saintes (France), Hulencourt Festival (Brussels, Belgium), Quincena Musical San Sebastián (Spain), Semana de Música Religiosa de Cuenca (Spain), FeMÀS (Seville, Spain), Festival de Arte Sacro (Madrid, Spain), Sevicq Brezice Festival (Slovenia), Féstival de Lubéron (France), Festival Musiques en été (Geneva, Switzerland), Pavia Barocca (Italy), Festival of Jewish Music (Museum of Jewish People, Tel Aviv, Israel 2017), Festival Castell de Peralada (Spain), Féstival de Sarrebourg (France), Féstival de Musique Sacre de Cagnes-sur-Mer (France), Festival de San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid, Spain), MusAS (Sagunto, Spain), among others



She collaborated with several ensembles such as Forma Antiqva, La Grande Chapelle, Capella de Ministrers, Le Tendre Amour, Concerto 1700, Ensemble Baroque de Monaco, Música Trobada où Amystis. Moreover, she founded her own ensemble, L’Arcàdia. She recorded various CDs as a soloist: L’Asunzione della Beata Vergine, Ensemble Baroque de Monaco (France, 2018). Pasqual Fuentes: Ab llicència o sens ella, Música Trobada (Spain, 2017) and Cabanilles: Complete Vocal Music, with Amystis (Spain, Brilliant Classics 2014). Furthermore, she is preparing several new CDs for 2018 and 2019.
