Recently acclaimed  in Verdi's La Traviata as « A great soprano, with brilliant notes and reliable coloratura » (David Böhringer,, Aurélie Ligerot is a young  soprano,  whose “beautiful voice and shimmering high notes reminds of Jurinac” (Wilhelm Guschlbauer, Der Neue Merker). In Master class, Teresa Berganza praises her “refined musicality” and describe her as a “moving performer”. Ms Ligerot’s range, lyric coloratura, combines agility with a true dramatic color. Her repertoire includes romantic heroines, as well as mozartian Donne, and contemporary characters such as Ann Truelov in The Rake's progress or the Princess in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges. Her musical training actually began as a trumpet player. After Political and Geography study, she began her singing education at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux, where she is taught by Maryse Castets and Lionel Sarrazin, still her vocal coach. During her studies,  Opera Bastide, a young artists compagny, invites her to perform leading roles such as Pamina, Micaela, Fiordiligi, Adina. The Opera National de Bordeaux discovers her talent, and offers her to be Jano in Janacek’s Jenufa, Léoena in Offenbach’s La Belle Hélène and the Lady-in-waiting in Verdi’s Macbeth. Aurélie Ligerot perfoms in France at the Opéra d'Avignon, the Opéra de Toulon, the Opéra de Marseille. In 2016, her first appearance as Rozen in Lalo's Le Roi d'ys  in l'Opéra de St Etienne, directed by Jean Louis Pichon and under the baton of José-Luis Dominguez, is distinguished by the press, especially Opera Magazine and Forum Opéra. In 2017/2018, she will make her debut in the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse as Bianca in Puccini's La Rondine.
