Bio

Anthony is a London born lyric tenor who studies with Arwel Morgan and previously studied musical theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. He had an unusual route into the industry originally studying Business & German at the University of Nottingham and then entering full-time employment in the financial world. He was chosen to join the "Singers of the Future" programme run by the National Opera Studio (NOS) in 2011 and in 2013 completed the full-time course at the NOS. During his year of study, he was kindly sponsored by English National Opera and generously supported by Grange Park Opera & the John Wates Foundation amongst others. He was presented with a Nicholas John Fellowship award for achievements at the NOS. Notable operatic credits include;  Macduff – Macbeth & Opera Highlights tour (Scottish Opera), Lensky - Eugene Onegin, Tschekalinski – Queen of Spades & Motel - Fiddler on the Roof (Grange Park Opera), Cover David - The Mastersingers of Nuremberg, Cover Prince/Marquis/Manservant - Lulu & Cover Nemorino - Elixir of Love (ENO), Nemorino - Elixir of Love (Nevill Holt Opera, Northern Ireland Opera and Opera Theatre Company), Rodolfo - La Bohème (Olivier award-winning original cast, Opera Up Close).  Anthony has sung many recitals for charities, corporate and private functions as well as galas with concert orchestras such as the Proms with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Please see www.anthonyflaum.co.uk for full listings including details of previous musical theatre roles.

He is rapidly making a name for himself as a youthful lyric tenor in the Italianate repertoire with promise of larger roles to come.
