Bio


After following a Chidren's Choir course at the Rouen Cathedral, Anne Cécile Laurent attended the Conservatoire of Rouen for her vocal studies with teachers Sophie Aguessy and Xavier Legasa. She graduates in 2006 then attends teacher Julie Hassler's voice class at the Conservatoire Charles Munch in Paris.
She's improving her vocal and acting skills with masterclasses by Pierre Mervant, Anne le
Bozec, Stéphanie d’Oustrac.
In June 2016, she's among the finalists of the prestigious Belvedere international opera singing contest.
She's currently working with Christine Schweitzer.
Her roles on stage include Euridyce in Gluck's Orphée, Esmeralda in opera by Louise Bertin, Elle in "La Voix Humaine", Brunehouille (operetta by Van Parys). She’s Miss Jessel in « The Turn of the Screw" conducted by Nicolas Krüger.
At the Rouen opera house, she's the soprano solo for the creation of François Rossé's work, Ecce Joanna.
In 2014, she plays the Rooster and the Jay in Janacek's Cunning Little Vixen at the Lille Opera house, directed by Robert Carsen. She then makes her debut as Fiordiligi on the stage of the Grand Theatre of Calais.
She collaborates with pianist Domitille Bès and stage director Ludovic Pacot-Grivel giving performances of La Voix Humaine and La Dame de Monte Carlo by Francis Poulenc in several festivals in France. A show which will be staged again in January and March 2017 in Rouen and Lille.
Anne-Cécile Laurent and Domitille Bès regularly perform recitals with various programs : arias and songs by Britten, italian lyric repertoire… They have recently presented a show reviving works of Normandy's 20th century composers.
She has been invited by many orchesters to sing the soprano solos of many oratorios such as Ein deutsches Requiem, Poulenc's Gloria, Tomasi's fanfares liturgiques, Bach's Saint John's Passion and last February Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. Next July, she will sing songs by Richard Strauss with Jean Marie Curti's Orchestra.
Today, her repertoire includes lyric roles such as Mimi, Mimi, Liu, Madame Butterly, Anna Bolena, Marguerite, Micaela, Rusalka.
