Bio


Anna Trombetta was born in Houston, Texas and moved to The Hague, Netherlands at the age of 15. After receiving her diploma at the American School of the Hague and two years at the School for Young Talent at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, she went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Classical Voice in the Hague studying with Gerda van Zelm and Carolien Drewes.
During her studies she also studied with Han-Louis Meijer and followed masterclasses from Marcel Reijans and Nadine Secunde and workshops from Peter te Nuyl, Sébastien Dutrieux and Elsina Jansen. She also currently studies with Neil Semer and Roberta Cunningham.
She graduated from the Royal Conservatory after creating and performing a 50-min. pasticcio opera, entitled Pasticcio d'Amore, in which she performed the lead role.



Trombetta has participated in Salone dell'Opera for two years; in 2015 she wrote and performed 'Koekie Jaloezie' with Nina van Essen, and in 2016 wrote 'Session #174' for solo voice and oboe. She has performed as a soloist with Goudse Liedertafel in Germany and Gouda together with Saint Caecilia Harmonieorkest (Wind Orchestra). 
In 2013, Trombetta sang the soprano solo role in Hans Boelee's Mark Passion performed by the choir of the Oude Kerk Scheveningen, led by Astrid Oudewaal.
In October 2016, she joined the Groot Omroepkoor for their performances of Maurice Duruflé's Requiem as well as works by Fauré and Poulenc conducted by Ed Spanjaard in both TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In 2014, she sang in the choir of Berlioz' Grand Messe des Morts' under the baton of Marc Albrecht. In the same year, in both the initial tour (NL) and reprise, she sang in the choir of Opera2day's production of Médee, conducted by Hernan Schvartzman.
Anna Trombetta currently studies with Nadine Secunde and Neil Semer with accompanist Han-Louis Meijer.
