«"THE TIMES", London, by Neil Fisher: "Shafajinskaia's platinum-plated soprano glints with menace, but there's enough in the emotional tank to make one of Turandot's last and the revealing lines, "my glory is over", sound more then a little poignant." "Shafajinskaja's emotionally charged voice is huge, but lustrous and creamy, and her coloratura ability allows her dramatic spinto repertoire to include bel canto. Her high notes are effortless and her acting skills are superb." – “OPERA CANADA", Magazine. “Shafajinskaia, who has achieved success as Turandot, Lady Macbeth and Gioconda managed to satisfy the composer’s demands for a large voice capable of reaching high notes and also operating with considerable power in the lower registers. Her voice sounds like a mezzo with a high reach.” - “OPERA NEWS” Magazine, NYC. ‘Anna Shafajinskaia, with a dark and powerful soprano, easily cut through the thick orchestral textures.’ - Tosca “THE NEW YORK TIMES”.»
International press (2016)
«"A sensation" Rodney Milnes "The Times", "Opera" magazine and her Princess Turandot at The Royal Opera House/Covent Garden, being praised as "reminiscent of Callas" Matthew Connolly "The Times"; "She sings with great assurance and truly imperious quality that few achieve" - "Opera" Magazine, London.»
