Anna Nero lives in Zurich, Switzerland. She studied at the Conservatory of Lucerne with Professor Peter Brechbühler. During her studies she took masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Ton Koopman, Yvonne Naef and Margreet Honig. After finishing her Master Studies (Master of Performance) she is now working with the Austrian soprano Sandra Trattnigg in Zurich.

In 2012 she made her debut as „Jenny Diver“ in „The Beggar’s Opera by Benjamin Britten in a Co Production of the Conservatory of Lucerne and the Theatre of Lucerne. During her studies in Lucerne she got to know the Estonian Composer Vsevolod Pozdejev, who composed the Opera „Sieben Briefe zur Begegnung“. Anna Nero sung the Part of Marina Zwetajeva at the Premiere at the Theatre of Lucerne.

In summer 2015 she got the chance to sing for Simonetta Sommaruga and Didier Burkhalter, members of the federal assembly of Switzerland, at a private ambassadors event at the KKL Lucerne. She was invited by Ursula Jones-Strebi to come to Morcote (Ticino) and sing three concerts with the Sacconi string quartet based in London, the guitarist Milos Karadaglic from Montenegro and accordionist Ksenija Sidorova from Latvia. In June 2016 she sang the Role of „Eloisa“ in the Opera „Bianca e Fernando“ by Vincenzo Bellini at the Opera St. Moritz, Switzerland.

In summer 2018 she got the opportunity to Sing „Tisbe“ in La Cenerentola at Oper Schloss Hallwyl, Switzerland and was invited to sing the national anthem during the NHL Global Series Challenge Switzerland 2018 match between SC Bern and New Jersey Devils at PostFinance Arena on October 1, 2018 in Bern, Switzerland. In January 2019 she will return to the theatre of Lucerne as „Annina“ in La Traviata.

Anna sings art songs, oratorio and opera and is passioned about organizing classical concerts, evoking new atmospheres in order to offer a larger audience exposure to classical music.

In 2014 she won the Elvira Lüthi-Wegmann Scholarship. In 2015 and 2016 she was the winner of the Swiss Migros-Culture-Scholarship, established to promote young talent. In 2019 Anna Nero will be invited to Bayreuth by the Wagner Gesellschaft Switzerland as she was chosen to be one of the scholar ship holders for next year.
