Anna Carbonera as Violetta Valery
Born and raised in Italy and based at the moment in Berlin, Anna Carbonera studied lyric singing in Milan and in Rome. She devoted herself both to the study oof the classic and the baroque repertoire.
She performed the roles of Alcina in “Alcina” by Haendel, Iole “Iole” by Porpora, Baucis in “Philemon und Baucis” by Haydn, Adelaide in “Adelaide di Borgogna” by Generali, Violetta in “La Traviata” by Verdi, Tosca in “Tosca” by Puccini, Micaela in “Carmen” by Bizet, Angelica in Orlando" by Haendel. She sang in the “Lecons des Tenebres” by Couperin, “Messiah” by Haendel, in the “Great Mass in C minor k426” by Mozart, in the “Mass in B minor” by Bach.
Anna Carbonera has collaborated with orchestras and conductors like M. Gester-Le Parlement de Musique, F. Biondi-Europa Galante, C. Rousset-Les Talens Lyrique, M. di Lisa-Concerto de’ Cavalieri, G. Prandi-Collegio Ghislieri, l’Accademia di S. Cecilia, V. Ashkenazy.
She is winner of the 65th edition of the “Concorso comunità Europea per giovani cantanti lirici” in Spoleto, and the “Concorso di canto barocco F. Provenzale” in Naples. In 2013 she was awarded with the „Stockholm Culture Award“.
