Born in the birthplace of Handel, Halle / Saale, Germany, Anja Daniela Wagner began her musical life at a young age. 

After studying violin and guitar as a child, she began her vocal studies with Käthe Röschke and later continued her musical education at the The University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig
under the tutelage of Professor Jitka Kovarikova. Additionally, Anja Daniela Wagner was given the opportunity to take part in a masterclass series of Historical Voice and Music with Cornelia Melian in Munich.

Soon afterwards she continued with her postgraduate education at the "Carl Maria von Weber" College of Music in Dresden with Professor Hartmut Zabel. 

There she participated in masterclasses led by Jessica Cash, Kammersänger Hermann Christian Polster und Kammersängerin Brigitte Fassbaender all the while under the vocal guidance of Kammersängerin Irmgard Boas.

She made her professional debut was during her studies in rolls such as Hansel in „Hansel & Gretel“ in Theater Zwickau, as Mirinda in L’Ormindo at the Lausitzer Opernsommer, as Idamante in „Idomeneo“ at the Mozartfest in
Chemnitz, as well as Boulotte in „Ritter Blaubart“at the Theater der Jungen Generation in Dresden. As well in the opera house, she performed often in concerts with the Staatsorchester Halle.

Anja Daniela was awarded the Deutschen Schallplattenpreis "Echo Klassik 2001" (Alto Solo) as a soloist in the Liturgischen Sätze by Hugo Distler. (available at Thorophon Records)

Her extensive repertoire in the area of the concert & oratorio ranges from baroque to contemporary works. Highlights of her concert activities were, among others, Bach cantatas with the St. Thomas Choir of Leipzig and the
Leipzig Gewandhausorchester under the direction of Thomaskantor Georg Christoph Biller. As "Notre Dame" in "Le Jeu de la Nativite" by A. Tscherepnin, Anja Daniela sang in the Gewandhaus in Leipzig with the orchestra
of the MDR, conducted by Howard Armen. On a concert tour through Italy she went with the St. John Passion of J.S. Creek Anja Daniela Wagner sang in the Berliner Philharmonie the mezzo-soprano in Beethoven's "Missa
Solemnis", directed by Barbara Rucha. Numerous recitals with works by, among others, Schumann, Schubert, Brahms, Mahler, Wagner and R. Strauss also belong to in her repertoire.
