Bio

German soprano Anika Paulick studied with  Prof. Elvira Dreßen and Prof. Caroline Stein at the Hochschule für Musik in Leipzig, receiving her masters degree in opera performance in February 2017.
Already during her studies, Anika Paulick became a member of the Staatstheather Cottbus. Since the 2012/2013 season she is a guest singer at Leipzig Opera. In December 2015 she stepped in on short notice in as Sandmännchen and Taumännchen (“Hänsel und Gretel”) at Halle Opera with great success.

Her repertoire to date includes roles like Ottilie („Im weißen Rössl“), Gretchen („Der Wildschütz“), Hannchen („Der Vetter aus Dingsda“), Ännchen („Der Freischütz“), Primadonna assoluta („Riemannoper“), Freia („Das Rheingold“), 1. Knabe and Papagena („Die Zauberflöte“), 5. Magd („Elektra“), 1. Adelige Waise („Der Rosenkavalier“) and Manja („Gräfin Mariza“).

At the Leipzig opera she frequently had the pleasure to sing with the renowned Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, working with conductors like Ulf Schirmer, Matthias Foremny, Christoph Gedschold, Ivo Hentschel, Evan Christ, Howard Arman and Anthony Bramall, and stage directors like Anthony Pilavachi, Ansgar Weigner, Matthias Oldag, Steffen Piontek, Martin Schüler and Matthias Winter.

Anika Paulick was engaged as soprano soloist at Classic Open Air Berlin and at the Operetta Ball Leipzig and joined concerts with the Leipziger Symphonieorchester, the Leipziger Barockorchester and the Vogtlandphilharmonie Greiz/Reichenbach. Her concert repertory includes amongst others „Requiem“ (Mozart), „Requiem“ (Schumann), „Weihnachtsoratorium“ Bach, „Stabat mater“ (Pergolesi), „Missa in angustiis“ (Haydn), „Gloria in D“ (Vivaldi) and „Missa in G“  (Schubert).

She is a prize winner of the 2017 Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, In 2016 she was awarded the scholarship of the Richard-Wagner-Verband Leipzig, and 2013 she won the special prize of the society „Junge Stimmen Leipzig e.V.” at the 1. Internationale Sächsische Sängerakademie Schloss Hartenfels/Torgau.

Anika Paulick also received a masters degree in German language and history education.
