Alessandra Gioia

drammatic coloratura Soprano

«Above all, Alessandra Gioia shines as Abigaille in a soprano section, which is an imposition, with extreme ambitus, high bel canto art and stark aggressiveness. The Romerin finds exactly the right explosive mixture between orgelder rage, pointed outcry, devious turned coloratura and quietly streaming warmth»
KIeler NacHrichten (2018)
«at the premiere Dario Solari as the title hero and especially Alessandra Gioia, who gives the role of Abigaille not only her imposing soprano, but also a similar mimic»
«True primadonna quality for the two faces of the Abigaille revealed Alessandra Gioia. Her consistently confident soprano shows the ability to attack as well as the emotional cantabile, for example in the double aria at the beginning of the second part or the thrilling death scene in the finale»
