Miss Alessandra Gioia began her studies of lyric singing at first with Mrs Dina Nizza and then continued her vocal studies at the Arts Academy of Rome where she also studied drama, piano, diction and scenic art. She also studied at the international lyrical academy in Sulmona and won a scholarship for merit at the International lyrical Academy of Osimo. In these renowned Academies, Miss Gioia had the opportunity to study with important exponents of the lyric world, such as Raina Kabaivanska, Lella Cuberli, Mirella Freni, Antonietta Stella, William Matteuzzi and Gianni Raimondi.
She also worked with some outstanding masters of high-level lyric and scenic mastering, including the Master held by Renata Scotto at the International Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Renato Bruson's lyric Master at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Master of Maestro Bruno Nicoli of " La Scala " Theater in Milan, Master of Cristina Mazzavillani Muti, Master of Anna Vandi and Master of Angelo Gabrielli at the Philharmonic Academy of Rome.
She has won several international singing competitions including the Competition O.m.e.g.a, the International Competition of Castrocaro FVCL lyric section, the International Competition "Anita Cerquetti" where in addition to winning the Vocalità Award "Anita Cerquetti" she also won the Audience Award.
She participates from time to time in RAI State Television programs as a guest and was also a guest in four interviews made by the radio broadcast "Il Ridotto dell 'Opera" by Giorgio Appolonia for La Radio Svizzera Italiana. Miss Gioia recorded a CD for the NOVEVENTI record label worldwide, where one can listen to arias from the Italian Repertoire.
Miss Gioia debuted in 2009 at the Festival of Valle d 'Itria by Martina Franca in the role of Diana, "Iphigenie Auf Tauris" by William Gluck .
She also debuted in others roles such as the title-role in "Suor Angelica" by Puccini at the Teatro Rosetum in Milan, as Aida for a tour throughout Italy in the main Italian theaters, as Abigaille in Nabucco for the Sommer Festival at the Opernhause in Kiel, for the "Ventidio Basso" Theater in Ascoli Piceno, the Teatro dell 'Aquila in Fermo and the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano with a Coproduction for the Sferisterio di Macerata and as Maddalena di Coigny in "Andrea Chénier" at the Teatro dell 'Opera in Rome.
Turandot remains one of the more significant roles she's incarnated recently at the Opernhause in Kiel.
She has sung under the baton of important conductors including Roberto Abbado, Ramon Tebar, George Fritztch, Matteo Beltrami, Francesco Ciluffo and directed by important directors such as Pierluigi Pizzi, Marco Bellocchio, Stefano Simone Pintor, Daniel Karasek, Italo Nunziata, Olaf Strieb and Oliver Kloeter.
In addition to opera productions, Miss Gioia is also involved in concert activities in Italy and abroad.
All of Miss Gioia's performances have been embraced by an enthusiastic unanimous consent from the public and critics.
