Bio


Graduated with top marks in Opera singing with Soprano Cosetta Tosetti at “C. Pollini” Conservatory in Padua where he also studied and graduated with flying colours in Philosophical Studies. 

He was granted the Lucia Valentini Terrani Trust scholarship ten years after the demise of the famous artist in 2008. The trust was established to promote the enhancement of singing technique and vocal repertoire (Liederistica and Oratorium) at Salzburg Mozarteum and he took part in her memorial night.

Here is the list of his major achievements:
In 2009 he won the Third Prize at International Contest “Pia Tebaldini” and performed at the gala night concluding the 9th Edition of Maria Callas Festival in Sirmione (BS). After that, he made his debut as Officer Fiorello (Barbiere di Siviglia) at Adria, Bolzano, Belluno and Lapedona (AP) Theatre.

In 2010, he achieved the Critics Award of  “Piero Boni” International Award Contest in the province of Mantua and was granted a scholarship of the 24th International Contest of Vocal Chamber Music Citta' di Conegliano sponsored by Teatri Spa. 

Last year he won the part of Nardo from “Il filosofo di campagna” at Piccolofestival International Contest in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

In 2011 he was awarded the role of  Gaudenzio in Il Signor Bruschino at International  Contest Arteincanto and made his debut in L'Aquila, Basciano (TE) and at Ortona Theatre  with Abruzzo Symphonic Orchestra conducted by G. De Lorenzo.

That same year, he sang at the worldwide televised Papal Rites following Pope Benedict XVI ' s visit in Triveneto.

In 2012 he was awarded the International Contest Silvio Varvisio sponsored by Ticino Music in Lugano and made his debut as Don Parmenione in “L' occasione fa il ladro” by Gioacchino Rossini in Ascona and Lugano with  Umberto Finazzi conducting. The latter has a permanent teaching position at  Accademia della Scala.


In 2013 he took part in the world-famous gala evening dedicated to Soprano Desiree Rancatore, and since early 2013 he has been collaborating with Director Stefano Vizioli in several Italian theatres and playhouses, organising conference-concerts with music by Rossini, Mozart, Bellini and Donizetti; he has also taken part in Rossini recitals with Mezzo-soprano Marina De Liso.

After winning an international contest, in the summer of 2014, he made his debut as Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Udine Philarmonic Orchestra, A. Barchi conducting and G. Zennaro directing. 

In April 2015 he sang as Figaro at Zandonai Theatre in Rovereto, L. Tazzieri conducting and G. Bagnoli directing; in 2016 he was again Figaro at Ristori Theatre in Verona and he sang as baryton solo in Carmina Burana by C. Orff. In November he took part as Saint Jean at absolute first performance of the Hérodiade, M° Letizia Michielon conducting and composer, within Sale Apollinee in La Fenice Theater in Venice.


Over the last few years, he has been taking part in refresher courses and master classes with Norman Shetler, Sara Mingardo, Edith Mathis, Wolfgang Brendel, Alessandra Althoff Pugliese, Marina De Liso, Alessandro Corbelli, Luciano Di Pasquale, Maurizio Muraro, Sherman Lowe, Richard Barker, Nicoletta Olivieri, Filippo M. Bressan, Stefano Vizioli, Enrico De Feo.

At the moment, he is specialising in belcanto repertoire with Baritone Giorgio Caoduro and improving his skills in chamber music and liederistic French, German and Italian repertoire.
