Bio

Heldentenor, Adam Laurence Herskowitz has recently returned from singing the role of Otello with Winter Opera of St. Louis.  Steve Callahan of KDHX News said that he "brings a most beautiful and powerful tenor to the role of Otello," where he "gives a grand performance." Mr. Herskowitz has spent five consecutive seasons with the Metropolitan Opera.  Some of his highlights there have included the Messenger in Aida,  Don Riccardo in Ernani, The First Armed Man in Magic Flute, and Harry in La Fanciulla del West. Adam also took part in the Met's Japan tour as the Herald in Don Carlo. Many of his performances have been broadcasted worldwide in HD movie theaters, including his performance as the Capitano in Simon Boccanegra, staring Placido Domingo and conducted by James Levine.   Mr. Herskowitz sang the role of Calaf in Turandot with in multiple houses that include Minnesota Opera, Toledo Opera and Union Avenue Opera of St. Louis. Adam has won many prestigious awards and prizes from the Wagner Society of New York, second place in the Liederkranz's Wagnerian division, and prizes with the Liederkranz's opera division, Gerda Lissner Foundation, and the Metropolitan Opera National Council. Mr. Herskowitz has a degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois and a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
